Menopause: The Foundations.

Details: Aimed at nurses, this course aims to provide nurses with a foundation knowledge
of issues relevant to menopause. This includes:



  • Physiology, signs and symptoms

  • An understanding of the relationship between ageing in women and osteoporosis,
    cancer, heart disease and mental health problems

  • An understanding of therapeutic options, hormonal, non hormonal and complementary.

  • An introduction to nurse assessment, monitoring and prescribing.


A Certificate of Attendance will be issued on completion.

Accredited by the Royal College of Nursing(RCN) Accreditation Unit.

6th Amsterdam Menopause and Women's Health Symposium
Date: 26-28 September 2010

Details: Menopause and Women's Health: New challenges, new goals

At this 6th AMS the discussion on principles and practice of gender-specific medicine will be further expanded. The discussion will focus on optimal management of women's health, as adapted to individual women's needs; critical assessment of individual risks and benefits of HT and its alternatives; female sexuality and aging; quality of life, lifestyle and healthy aging. The 6th AMS will also aim to translate "progress in Women's Health Science" into "down-to-earth clinical practice".

For the first time, special parts of the programme will be held in Spanish, French and Italian. EACCME accreditation will be obtained from UEMS as before.

Please make a note of the date. We hope to see you again in Amsterdam.
